Types of card schemes for candidates

1.         Green CSCS Card for labourer

This card is also termed as labourer card and offers with convenience to get excellent career boost within the construction industry. To get this card it is important for you to hold a valid health and safety certificate for the past two years. Candidates also need to clear Level 1 exam certification to apply for a green card.

2.         Apprentice card

This card is helpful for candidates who want to enter the construction jobs at the apprentice level. One major point to keep in mind is that candidates may not be able to get this card renewed. The card is valid for a period of 4years and 6 months and candidates may have to provide with valid CSCS proof. Clearing health and safety course are also mandatory for candidates.

3.         Manager, supervisor or expert technical person card

This is a card for professional and skilled persons already working within the construction field. So if you are a valid holder of Level 2 card or above till NVQ level 7 card then you can apply for this card. To request for this particular job card it is important that proof of past experience has to be submitted to the authorities. It is also important for candidates to be valid NVQ qualified professional. The card has its validity for 3 years and later on can be renewed.

4.         Expert worker card

This card is only for candidates who are holding their expert level for a few years working in this field. The candidate has to provide with proof related to Level 2 under NVQ qualification. The authorities only offer the card with a validity of 1 year. The card has to be renewed after a period of one year, before getting expired. Health and safety measure certification is also mandatory for candidates who want to apply for this card.

5.         Trainee level card

The card even if offered for candidates interested at Trainee level, still has few imposed restrictions. The card can only be applied by candidates who have been working in the construction field and want to upgrade as skilled worker. This is one of the cards that is offered to the candidates at the entry level. To obtain this card you need to be a qualified professional to work in the construction field. Academic qualifications are mandatory for candidates, without which they cannot apply for this card.

6.         CSCS Blue card for Skilled Worker

The card is mandatory for candidates who want to take up their career as a skilled worker at the construction site. Holding this card means that a candidate can search for job positions within this work site as he holds his qualifications.
